The dual-world powers (US & Britain) are all gone under the bridge by now and "recovery" as is commonly thought is not going to return either of them to former glory with fearsome sword-rattling or their ability to be the big ape in the room and cause other countries to shudder in fear. I also do NOT believe that China figures into any position of Great Global Nation or Dictator/Super Power. What I also believe is that there will be no further great political machinations - even the much touted Israel/Palestine debate and land use struggles are pale in comparison with what lies in the future. Remember that Britain was an outpost of the Constantinian Holy Roman Empire and although Britain is somewhat bicameral-autonomous, the effects of the RCC are still felt, albeit less so as it's the laughing stock for most other COE-type and Protestant (Diet of Worms vs fides caritate formata) organizations. And so, by extension - all the outposts, past and present of the British Empire are so indicted. I do believe that NZ falls somewhere into that "Helios 50 arc minutes below the horizon" category. |
