787000 2009-06-29 12:54:00 searching "pie" gave me images of feet. I wouldnt call that superior :)

Presumably you did not specify the English language as you wouldn't have been given the opportunity.

"pies" is the Spanish word for "feet" thus explaining your result I guess.

787001 2009-06-29 13:07:00 Its all just a matter of preference, end of the day. Image results vary, based on what I searched for I found Google gave me better results, but I'm a biased fan-boy ;)

A little competition is healthy, provided the general public isn't forced to use one or the other by default, regardless of which it is.

787002 2009-06-29 21:00:00 Yes, a preference for results.

Just recently I had to find a number of images to dress up some media, Bing returned far more results over all, loaded them far faster, they were over all far more relevant, and they were presented in a superior manner.

Though I cant say i ever considered Google image search to be great, and only used it in conjunction with other specific image search engines.

It was thin mud. Not even made with real water. And we didn't get to eat it, just look at it then return it to the neighbours.
