872842 2010-04-04 19:57:00 I have a couple of .avi films that I would like to save onto DVD to play on my TV via a DVD player.

How would I go about this?

872843 2010-04-04 20:15:00 If you have vista use movie maker, edit it then burn it with dvd maker Speedy Gonzales (78)
872844 2010-04-04 20:18:00 If you have the full program Nero, it will convert on to DVD for you. If not, use the application DVD Flick to do it.
I suggest the simplest way to do it is to burn your avi files to a blank DVD. You must not burn the folders with the files. The avi files have to be in the root structure of the DVD.
Most DVD players will play back the avi files with no problems.

Oh, kamo1 has already suggested it!

872847 2010-04-05 10:05:00 Dvd players which play AVI (xvid or divx) are often restricted to certain profiles of video. Check First before burning dvds pkm (13527)
872848 2010-04-06 08:41:00 convertXtoDVD does the job well and
has its own burner. Easy to use with
options for video aspect ratio & audio
formats.
