2010-04-07 22:08:00 Hey I have some avi files that my mate would like to play on her xbox 360, seeing as I do not have one I am not sure how I should burn them. Any ideas what would be the best way? nedkelly (9059)
2010-04-07 22:28:00 Once she configures the Xbox and media player, it can play them (if the PC is on), since it can play AVI's natively Speedy Gonzales (78)

2010-04-07 22:36:00 If she's using Vista, add them to movie maker, then edit them (if she wants to), then burn them, with dvd maker. Voila you have the DVD Speedy Gonzales (78)
2010-04-07 22:40:00 so best to make a proper dvd movie? nedkelly (9059)
2010-04-07 22:41:00 Yup. Dont know if it'll play them if you copy straight to a DVD. If it doesnt, then its a waste of a DVD. There was an update for it the other day, which will let you save to USB devices (like flash drives), as well. Just as long as its formatted in FAT32. Dont know if it'll let you load whatever from one tho. Speedy Gonzales (78)

If it's the first time playing avi files on the 360 you might have to connect to Xbox Live to get the ability. Just connect and play the file. I use a USB drive to play avi files through either PS3 or 360.
