| 873510 | 2010-04-06 06:46:00 | im home from uni and i saw that my parents had only used like 1.5gb in 20 days of internet. they have vodafone phone and internet for like $105 a month. 5gb broadband, phone, toll calls off peak and i think $6 for the call a vodafone mobile unlinited times thing. i just thought its a bit excessive for so little isnt it? is there a cheaper internet we should move to? i was thinking the pay for how much you use on xnet. any ideas? | nerd (109) | ||

| 873512 | 2010-04-06 06:58:00 | I'm prob on one of the cheapest plans. $45 ish phone and $30 internet - 3GB plan. Me doesn't think Xnet is great, I just came off them. True with Xnet you choose the GB plan but they only charge you what you actually use. If you bought 10GB but used 1.5GB, they only bill you 1.5. What you could do is specifically with the other ISPs is choose a small GB, approx 1GB = $1. Re: the plan, I am with Actrix now $30 3GB I get FS/128, the same plan with Xnet cost $34 with no data, with 3GB Xnet is $37 ..... They have discontinued the 256/128 that used to be $27 + $1/GB. I was on the 3GB $30 plan before. |

| 873514 | 2010-04-06 07:06:00 | Xnet for me I don't like cos I think it not that slow I was only on 256 and I did get that, haha, but b/c of network outages and unreported on their homepage. Actrix is one of the better deals available I think. Their $30 plan, switch your tolls to them, your phoneline can still be with Telecom. Free joining I think, with a 12 month contract free modem. If you wanna transfer, free again but no contract, you can go at any time but no free modem. I think Xnet now have introduced a joining fee :D Xnet don't have contracts so you buy your own modem always :D |
