2009-07-06 08:23:00 | As little as possible since it costs a very large fortune to do so but about 10MB in a month. | beeswax34 (63) | |
2009-07-06 08:53:00 | 600MB to 1.2 GB / Mon. Eeepc and Vodem I don't ring up on the Eeepc, and I don't take photos or send data on the phone. That way my phone is good for 8 days between charges. To me, a phone that needs re-charging every day is a pretty dumb phone.

2009-07-06 09:57:00 | I have the free 20MB plan (free until September) that I got with my new phone, so while I don't use it every day it may come in handy, now that I can actually use it. :D | pcuser42 (130) | |
2009-07-06 09:58:00 | None my phone makes calls and sends texts that's it. I have BB at home for doing web stuff since my work is manual and don't have need internet to do it. | gary67 (56) | |
2009-07-06 10:17:00 | I purchased vodafones 100MB for $10/month plan a couple of months ago and found it great, until I realised throughout the whole month I'd only used 5MB :o. | davidmmac (4619) | |
2009-07-06 10:41:00 | Nomad, you might want to get a mod to add another option: Hell no! Too damn expensive! In fact I have been known to use mobile internet, but only when there is a desperate need (such as being stuck on the mountain in a ski lodge, wondering when - or if - the weather is going to clear). For day to day use, both current telecommunications companies (and any new one) will have to cease and desist their policy of rape and pillage of their customers.

2009-07-06 22:17:00 | Yesterday I went out to a guy who had just recently bought a laptop and just signed up to Telecoms Mobile internet. He pays $54.95 for 1 GB. Or so he thought. He has no landline and with his cellphone bill was told it would be $100 all up per month. Until yesterday he got his internet bill for $1400. He got the laptop mainly to watch TV, download music and stuff on it. naturally he used more than his 1GB. He hasn't used a month up yet. He hadn't been told nor did he realise what the 50c per MB over data charge meant. 50c x 1024MB in 1GB = broke. I've suggested he change to the total home package to get around the $199 escape fee they want. If they won't let him change to normal broadband I told him to just pay the escape fee and go with anyone else, Woosh perhaps if he doesn't want a landline. Total ripoff if you ask me!
