874157 2010-04-08 08:59:00 Find a big old heatsink and stick it on. I did recently with a 8500gt and had games running on it with temps looking fine.

I think I used a p2 heatsink lol

874158 2010-04-09 06:10:00 Cheers all. :)

Since having the thing out and fiddling around with it yesterday I haven't heard any horrid noises from it today. That makes me worried though, as it might not be spinning now so I'll have to get the cover off again to have a look.

What about this ? (www.modster-pc.co.nz)

That looks the bees knees. I've emailed them and he's going to check for me whether it will fit. Fingers crossed.

No blank screen or smoke appearing... yet. So far so good.

Just in case I have to eat my words, probably in five minutes time, I'm thinking I ought to decide on a replacement card to be on the safe side. New thread coming up! :p
