789415 2009-07-07 00:54:00 I'm on the $6 for 20 MB plan. It's actually 50c/MB for the first 12 MB, then the other 8 MB are free so even if I don't use much it's really not a problem. Nermal (7077)
789416 2009-07-07 09:04:00 I never really worried about going over 3Gb per month @ $70 with Vodafone as their coverage, if any, was so darn slow and another 3Gb was available for $10. Average under 1,750 Mbs per month over 2 years. North and South Island.

Still on 3Gb per month but with XT @ $85 and I have to check the amount used fairly regularly as the speed is good. An extra 1Gb is available at $15. for all plans 1Gb an over. You can also set up several email alerts to notify you when a percentage of your bandwidth has been used. The total amount used is also available on Telecom's site. It's an expensive option but there's really No excuse for running yourself bankrupt..

The Vodafone outlets are still telling everyone that all their old 2G areas are now 3G extended ~ Not true. There are often narrow bands of 3G extended in the old 2G areas but 2G is still alive and well. Takes 2.5 hours to download firefox in a 2G area.

20 plus laptops owned by grey haired nomads here in Camp all using mobile internet ~ All but mine and one other have Vodafone's new black stick vodems in a Vodafone 2G area. average speed test 5.6Kb/s Down 1.8Kb/s Up..

The TSticks win :D ~ Last XT speed test was 4.03Mb/s Down 1.00Mb/s Up at 11am.
