874455 2010-04-08 16:21:00 A friend who has a person who got into her puter and has set up another ADMIN acc't and it is non-accessible and appears to be non-removable too.

Any way to remove that account?

874456 2010-04-08 19:34:00 Try booting in to safe mode and then logging in to the administrator account.
Then go to the users in control panel and try remove it.

874459 2010-04-09 00:16:00 You can use Ultimate Boot CD, it has password reset tools built in however I have had limited success. Deimos (5715)
874460 2010-04-09 00:25:00 boot in DOS type net user
then type net user* and the name of the admins account (the first net user will show you this)
it will prompt for a password
use the the changed password to get in and go from there

874463 2010-04-09 10:23:00 I think this is the same software as I have on CD and use to recover from situations occasionally. I have never had a problem with it other than it works better to just remove the password rather than trying to reset it (doesn't always work). johnd (85)

Yup this will do the trick. I've used it on Vista, no probs at all. Just remember to save / write / quit after you do it. I forgot twice and wondered why it didnt work lol
