| 874172 | 2010-04-08 03:51:00 | I installed a wireless network 6 weeks ago then immediately ruined my Vista Bus laptop(berr spill) so bought a new HP610 with Win 7 32 bit. I have a Dynalink modem/router -g range.I can only get wireless internet access with the router cable plugged in to my new pc. The other 3 laptops -all Vista Home Premium work fine as had my original Vista laptop. My ISP providerSlingshot) has got me to try "all sorts: but no joy. The :troubleshooting :option says :no problem detected: nor does the : online additional help:. Signal strength shows as excellent. Any tips please? Neil |

| 874173 | 2010-04-08 03:53:00 | The ISP has nothing to do with it (its not wireless is it)?? You're trying to use a wireless adapter ? If you are, something isnt configured properly, with the wireless adapter. Have you turned on discovery and file sharing in Win7? | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

| 874175 | 2010-04-08 05:27:00 | Sweet ! If the ISP had wireless internet, then they could / would help. But in this case, it sounds like the wireless on the computer (as in the adapter, or a setting). Which isnt the same as wireless internet | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
