| 1451422 | 2018-07-11 05:42:00 | Russell Norman of the "Greens" is upset at the Govt expenditure of large dollars on new Air Force equipment - new planes after several years of neglect. Querying why we must buy gear with a "Military" capability. The greens are, of course much opposed to any military (or US) involvement. However, I'm sure that the young Thai footballers and their parents are very pleased for the expert training of their amazing rescue - British and Thai Navy Seals - all very tough, highly trained military cookies. So, Russell, military is not all bad. |

| 1451427 | 2018-07-12 06:14:00 | Try a fact or two Gary. The majority of rescue team were Navy Seals from Thailand, Australia and England - very few civilians. Also included were caving experts from the same countries- some of whom were civilians. | Woody (710) | ||

Also included were caving experts from the same countries- some of whom were civilians. Since I have met a few of those civilians I can indeed quote fact as word gets around the worldwide caving fraternity very quickly |

The opinion of Mr Norman, and the opinions of the Thai children and their parents are unconnected, so do not constitute a double standard in any way, shape or form. Hope that clarifies this for you :) |
