1448773 2018-04-23 03:34:00 Bring up task manager (Ctrl + Alt+Del) - click Task manager -- look at the bottom left hand corner, make sure More Details is selected, look at the CPU and Memory usage, see what's sucking the resources. ( possibly Disk % as well)
If they are all low, the Hard Drive could be failing. Had one the other day do that, the CPU was at approx. 8% and Memory in the low teens. Slow as a wet week.

If something is downloading then the usage will be up.

1448774 2018-04-23 03:45:00 as a test ...
Uninstall CC, MBytes Kaspersky & see if that helps
Disable all cloud backup & sync programs icloud, dropbox, onedrive etc
Run msconfig & start disabling non MS services & startup items
See if any Winupdates are stuck or a large update is trying to download & install

It may just be the Hard Drive going bad.
Sometimes the hard drive fails in a way that the hard drive runs extremely sloooowly , so takes forever to start a program up etc. When this happens the HD will pass every test , but is still faulty .

Or could just be an under-specced system . Low spec PC/laptops can be quite painfull to use , especially once you have all your programs etc installed on there

I would upgrade to a SSD , reload Win10 . A bit extreme but allways works to speed things up.

Those figures look fine, nothing giving it a hard time.

You can download Crystal disk Info, run it to see what the SMART is saying. While it may not be 100% accurate it works most of the time. If you get Caution, and (scroll down the list) uncorrectable sector count ( IN YELLOW) drives on the way out. You can also open eventvwr look for DISK error under Windows/system.

Disk info right hand side exe file crystalmark.info

1448777 2018-04-23 07:49:00 Thank you .. done that .. all good. I will plod on and see how she goes :D Lovelee (6586)
1448778 2018-04-23 22:03:00 So if not hardware, no malware or programs hogging resources, then it will be bloat.
This happens with Windows, registry, profile etc....crap accumulates to put it simply without the techy explanation.

The fix is to back up data, do a complete reinstall and put your data back.

Does amazing things to the speed.
