1448762 2018-04-22 23:36:00 I have a Laptop Compaq with Windows 10 and the WIFI Adaptor keeps disabling.
Any suggestions I am sure I have all the Windows Updates. Cheers.

If that doesnt work, in power settings (control panel) , start disabling power save options

1448764 2018-04-23 02:49:00 yep - probably the wifi power saver... "allow this device to be disabled when low on power" or something like that - what a stupid design that is!

and sometimes it is not even listed in the device manager any longer after windows has disabled it - on one laptop I had to physically remove the wifi from the back of the laptop, reboot, shutdown, install the wifi agian, and reboot
Only then did it appear in the device manager again, and that was the only way to get to the properties to turn of the wifi power saver!

1448765 2018-04-26 00:01:00 I stopped the power saver but it still needs a repair sometimes so I'm not sure. bruciebear (1478)
1448766 2018-04-26 00:48:00 You say its an adaptor? so does it interface via USB?

Maybe power saving on the USB.

When you say 'disabling' its crossed out on the hardware? possibly driver issue.

More information on the adaptor might help.
