I can have no tv 24/7, more channels to miss than I care to shake a remote at, so I do believe that I have the best choice of all. ;) Go without TV for a while, and if you happen to see it you will wonder how anyone can harden themselves to endure the drivel. Admittedly, the ads are sometimes amusing (if compared with sitting on a thistle), but the programs are a long, long way below mediocre. |

There are plenty of LEGAL playlists that use the official streams as provided by the broadcaster The Next best option is to use any android tablet or phone add a m3u playlist player, pair it up with a chromecast plugged into your tv. You can do the same thing and cast streamed channels etc. |

Also for car DIY's, e.g. Fantomworks, and the many car restoration doco's, and classic car auctions are quite interesting. Get to see new welding/in-depth repair techniques. Lately also been watching some of the quaint country style BBC British detective shows. The one (Inspector Gentry) with actor Martin Shaw from the 70's The Professionals, also Wycliffe, Midsomer Murders, etc. As said above - each to his own. Good skills |

Al Jezeera has docos too, not just news, some of them can be quite good, docos as in the type of 60mins type thing . . . except better . VPN, yeah, but I don't want to trawl through piles of listings to find the few interesting ones, then have to download them . I read more than watch, when I do watch, it's oh that's on, I'll watch it . Not go hunt for something . Currently Homicide Hunter with Lt Kenda, it's good . Watched the Killer Homes (Victorian UK) And coming up is a series showing the real story behind various famous movies, mostly war movies . They're always good, like the real Bridge of the River Kwai . |
