Like the mats now, made from bottles.....you thought nylon carpet was bad? Try a plastic rug. They melt, instantly.... Why don't we just stop making so much crap out of plastic, go back to glass, pottery, cane, cardboard etc. |

It will cost all ratepayers $65 per year, regardless if they need it (I have 3 garden composting bins) Is this big brother recycling gone too far ? More feel good fad than common sense ? That hasn't started here yet, but paying the council $65 a year for something I will never use is a bit off. Maybe a big protest march is in order closer to the introduction of this extra bin? |

I think they timed the full rollout to just after the next council elections . Co-incidence ? They expect people to freeze all their food waste untill its collected (to stop it rotting & smelling) . Really? |

And it's easier to seal. We all would like to go back, until the prices go up then peoples priorities suddenly change. If a packet of biscuits (or substitute something healthier - just an example) cost twice as much and was made out of paper and cardboard so they went stale many times faster that would upset a lot of people. Not that I disagree with you, I don't. It's just not as simple as it may seem IMHO. |
