Its easy for malware to wipe a connected backup driveWhich is why it should be a separate user and your regular user shouldn’t have access. The ONLY way to protect backups is to disconnect the USB drive after the backup is finished . Backups to a connected server arnt safe either , a power spike , PSU meltdown or malware could wipe that out .Agreed. Both is good too ... ;) |
