Use Rufus. There is a setting which will create a boot for MBR & EFI, MBR only, EFI with GPT table.
You also have the choice of loading an ISO, or writing it as DD (don't know what that means). Standard is ISO, but sometimes DD works if you have a boot problem. The program will give you the choice if it exists in the file. If your computer is EFI with Legacy support, and you use the MBR/EFI setting, when you select your external boot USB it will be listed twice, EFI and the other for MBR, select the appropriate one. |
