1451363 2018-07-08 22:43:00 The Daily Mail writes:

The note, which was undated and scrawled in immaculate handwriting, shows "the depth of her heart" according to her old teachers.
A definition of "scrawled" according to Merriam-Webster is, to write or draw awkwardly, hastily, or carelessly. Now, how the hell can "immaculate handwriting" qualify as that? How the hell can you "scrawl" immaculate handwriting?

OK, the Daily Mailis an OZ publication, but there's no excuse for illiteracy. Just as there is no excuse for the Herald copying it.

1451364 2018-07-08 22:48:00 They just copy and paste Wal. Did you think that they actualy read that stuff? CliveM (6007)
1451365 2018-07-09 00:07:00 IMHO Good journalism went down with a thump when cut/copy and paste became second nature. It's in the cringe-worthy area of "Breaking News" when you knew about it long you heard it there.
What do they teach at journalism training institutions? My Mum would be turning over in her grave.

1451366 2018-07-09 01:36:00 I have seen signatures from professional people - like engineers, teachers, lawyers, bank manager, our local college head master (who has a phd - doctorate in science) scrawl horrible oversize looking sig's in front of my eyes. To them it's probably immaculate - but I'm sure to others it looks like a pre-school kid's scribble. I's how one perceives it I think.. kahawai chaser (3545)
