1449298 2018-05-06 03:32:00 My network here consists of the following:

Draytek Vigor 130 modem
TP-Link TL-WR1034ND wireless router - running Gargoyle

Quite happily ticking along running 3 computers, and 8+ various other mobile devices, Until recently, it was also running VOIP via Yealink device.

Anyway, I now have a smart TV. Beside the TV there is also a Home Theatre PC that connects to the network via a USB dongle. I would like to run both the TV and HTPC off one device, with wireless connection to the TP-Link.

What do you recommend please? I don't have hundreds to spend, but do want quality please.

1449299 2018-05-06 03:42:00 First thing that comes to mind instead of running cables is Powerline Adapters.

TP-Link have them, easy to setup, example from PBTech www.pbtech.co.nz

Setup one of those at a customers house a week back, along with these www.pbtech.co.nz

They needed extra outlets but wireless wasn't required as the internet was going directly into the TV's Ethernet port. Sure beat trying to run cables through 3 levels of the building.

1449300 2018-05-06 20:42:00 Unfortunately this is a 1920's house, so the electrical wiring is in need of replacement. Opting for the powerline solution maybe a no-go Myth (110)
