| 876259 | 2010-04-13 21:32:00 | my friends wants to buy a new laptop and he doesnt know much about hardware so he asked me to choose one out for him. he doesnt want to go too much higher than 2 grand. i was looking through a few at harvey norman and came up with these two. theyre similar except for the graphics: www.harveynorman.co.nz www.harveynorman.co.nz unfortunately im not too good either so i read a few reviews about them and the Radeon™ HD 4650 is slightly better than GeForce GT 230M. but the radeon cards arent updated or supported as much as the geforce cards. i dont think it would matter too much, just wanting to check or if anyone else knows a few good ~$2000 laptops just post em here. he doesnt want to buy online because his dad doesnt like buying stuff online:eek: |

I note that the Harvey Norman site lists the HP having a 7200RPM HDD, whereas HPs website says its 5400rpm. That HP price is pretty ridiculous though, even Dick Smith has it for $300 less - www.dse.co.nz |
