875913 2010-04-13 00:46:00 My Mp3 player which is a Phillip Go Gear Player does not show up some of my songs. It shows up on the computer, but not on my MP3 player when I take it out of the Computer. Just in case if you were wondering my model number for the player it is SA2315/97:stare: AZ1 (15478)
875914 2010-04-13 00:49:00 What format are the songs? MP3, WMA etc?
I've seen some MP3 players only play MP3's and not WMA's.

875916 2010-04-13 01:30:00 Looks like it supports MP3 (32-320 kbps), MP3 VBR, and WMA (32-192 kbps). And if it is WMA

FAQ from the Philips site

Question
Why can't I play some of my WMA files in the device?
Answer

The problem may have been caused by the way that some of the options in the ripping software were set.

* The .wma file may be Digital Right Management DRM protected.
o Always rip the music .wma files without DRM protection.
* The Constant Bit rate (CBR) parameter for the .wma file may be too high
o Try to get the file from another source or re-create the .wma file whose CBR(Constant Bit Rate) is within 192Kbps.

* The .wma file is created with lossless format.
o Avoid creating .wma files with the lossless format.
* The .wma files may be encoded with WMA 9.2 or later (such as WMA 10.0 Professional).
o Make sure the .wma files are encoded with WMA 9.0 or earlier.

The ones that can not play are MPEG-4 Audio File (.m4a) and the ones that can play are MPEG Layer 3 Audio (.mp3)

That'll be why, doesn't support the format, re-encode them to a supported format.
