875850 2010-04-12 20:58:00 Hi

I've been away for a bit and upon fireing up the laptop was eventually greeted with the message "Webcam driver open fail. Please restart camera or compter." The Camera Assistant software appears to be loading OK but I cannot find the camera listed in Device manager. Also under Tools>Options>Video Skupe says it can't find a webcam.

Does all this mean that the webcam hardware has failed completely? What are the options? If I need to download a driver where's the best place to get it (have tried the Toshiba website but don't seem to be looking in the right place so a link would be useful)?

Thanks

875851 2010-04-12 22:45:00 I have a Toshiba L300 PRO. My webcam seems to work fine. Try downloading Microsoft Fix it. I got alot of help for my Drive there!

Good luck!

875853 2010-04-13 06:25:00 According to the label on the bottom it's a Satellite A300 PSAGCA-02V010 (although I think it was originally advertised by DSE as an A300/V01). The webcam has been working fine since I bought it in Dec 2008
The OS is Vista Home Premium SP1

Hope that helps the suggestions.
