790501 2009-07-10 05:24:00 Long story short, as long as you're using FF 3.5, Chrome or Opera then you're doing good ;) Chilling_Silence (9)

Not really. Even using a moderately old system, the differences in speed aren't that noticable.

As someone mentioned in the comments, Firefox really should be tested with at least a couple of add-ones.

790504 2009-07-10 08:03:00 IE has always sucked. And probaly always will, unless Microsoft start optimising their software...like that ever happen hueybot3000 (3646)

IE is a dog especially with javascript.
Who is going to decide what addons Firefox should be tested with and if firefox why not the others that can support addons. Sorry stupid idea as the test is for the browsers and not addons.:groan:

790506 2009-07-11 04:59:00 Back the truck up a minute - why are they testing Beta versions alongside production versions? Pointless comparing something that may change before the general Joe Public actually use it .

Maybe interesting, but if you're testing Betas, compare them first to other Betas and then show the results against the current production version of themselves, then against other browsers .

"Compare apples with apples", is what I'm trying to say in a very verbose manner . . .

790507 2009-07-11 08:45:00 But M$ always release Betas exclusively. If they were to wait until a product works before releasing it we would still be waiting for DOS 1.0
Surely they are not calling Vista a finished product? ;) (Just for pcwuserinvista) ;)

It's just that Google are honest about it. Everyone has known for years a MS product isn't right until the third version.
