| 876033 | 2010-04-15 01:12:00 | you would be better off doing a complete fresh install - since its a W7 Upgrade DVD, you should be able to do what it says here (www.sevenforums.com) - the link Speedy posted before was for fresh install on a full install DVD, you can do it from a upgrade, just change a couple of steps in the process. IF you are having booting from any CD/DVD on the laptop, and its set to boot from the Optical drive the drive its self may be faulty. If the DVD's boot from another PC as speedy suggested then you may have to boot from a USB drive and load in W7 as long as the Laptop has that option for USB. |

"Should" install though, if it can handle Vista it "should" breeze in on W7. Drivers unless auto or Vista may be a different matter. :) |
