Unless you have more than 2gig RAM you will require quite a large swapfile/pagefile. I have had W7 running with 512meg Ram & a 8gig drive, but not well. It was still stable, but slow. On an older PC I would avoid 64bit, it may not run well and drivers could be a problem. W7 is 100% reliable. |

Unless you get one off trademe. Or if you upgraded it to something else, you would have to replace the ram, cpu and mobo |

| 875523 | 2010-04-13 03:08:00 | Speedy, how long did it take to install Windows 7 on your 1.5 AMD CPU? | Ice Road Trucker (15659) | ||
| 875524 | 2010-04-13 03:21:00 | Same as any other system. Umm 15-25 mins or something. Altho, because of this annoying 100 mb partition it creates, I made the partitions bigger so it wouldnt create it. Otherwise, you could be there forever (after the first reboot). It hangs on the post screen. Its probably a bug (in win7's install). But it doesnt affect all systems (it was fine on this) | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
