| 790135 | 2009-07-08 13:54:00 | hey guys ,how we doing . . Got a big problem with my phone . . Have had it since last nov . which I bought brand new at a local voda store . . I've been overseas for the past 3 weeks so I havn't been able to deal with it yet but about a month ago I was updating the phone software and we unfortunately had a power cut which obviously caused the pc to flick off . . thus quitting the update part way through . . A night following the phone went dead, I placed it onto the charger with no luck . . assuming the charger was at fault I purchased a new one . . which also wouldn't work . . then my idea of the battery . . A friend of mine has the same phone so I borrowed her battery, and my phone worked fine . . It would turn on and the charging indicator would appear . . I place my battery into her phone . . her phone wouldn't turn on . . nor would it charge . . so thus the idea of it being the battery was even more clearer Until, i purchased a new battery . . I put it on charge for the recommended 12 hours, which I noticed part way through that the charging symbol was still indicating that it was charging (I was sure that although I needed to charge it for over the usual time the indicator would still tell me its full after the usual 2-3hrs, but I didn't take much notice) . . I woke up . . switched the phone on after a good 14-15 hour charge . . and the battery indicator was on 1 bar with the "Battery low' symbol flashing, not long after it died . . and wouldn't turn back on . . nor would it charge . . Rather then wasting another 70 odd bucks to try another battery hoping it was also at fault what do you guys recommend? I just want to know if there's any ideas out there before I depart with my phone for a week or two while its in the nokia centre Apologies in advance for the novel above, any help will be greatly appreciated, hmm . |
