2010-04-16 05:36:00 | Been around 5 years now sticking to my trusty 17" Sony monitor, thought it was time to step it up with a bigger monitor and video card. i was thinking of the Sapphire HD5750 for video card and a samsung monitor has to be 21"+ anyone got a good combination that wont break the $500 budget? Monitor i would want to be full HD 1080p and prefer samsung or if anyother brands that are better?

I own that monitor and can vouch for it, it's great. You can get a cheaper one (www.computerlounge.co.nz) the same size but the specs aren't as good - it's still a nice monitor though. Main differences are no HDMI and a slower response time. Can your PSU handle the larger graphics card? |

2010-04-16 06:04:00 | Response time - 2ms vs 5ms, 50,000:1 contrast ratio vs 30,000:1 and the cheaper one has no HDMI input. | wratterus (105) | |
2010-04-16 06:37:00 | yea im looking for hdmi input aswell cause the HD5750 has one right? | chuanwai (12518) | |
2010-04-16 06:41:00 | You might also check that the monitor you decide on has a zero dead pixel warranty. | Sweep (90) | |
2010-04-16 06:44:00 | LG has a 3 year zero dead pixel warranty, and yesh the cheaper one does have no HDMI but the quality of HDMI and DVI is identical. | wratterus (105) | |
2010-04-16 07:03:00 | Oh i see cause my current one is dvi could i run 2 monitors at once? like one monitor im playing games the other im surfing the net? | chuanwai (12518) | |
2010-04-16 07:13:00 | With some cards you can use 2 or more monitors. Depends what the box says | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
