876989 2010-04-15 22:00:00 I’ve been having trouble lately with firefox crashing on certain sites.

PayPal appears to be one of those.

Has anyone else been having trouble with firefox?

Here’s a screen shot of the problem.

876990 2010-04-15 22:39:00 Try restarting FF in safe mode - one of your addons may have become unstable after an update:

Enter the following in your run box and press enter:

firefox -safe-mode

876992 2010-04-16 00:38:00 I had this problem with the early 3.6 version.
Go later, or back to 3.5.

You could use Sea Monkey which is also by Mozilla and opens faster, uses the same Addons.

876993 2010-04-16 01:05:00 Yes, I still get these crashes but I can't nail it to any particular site or addon. I suspect Foxit figures there somewhere, though. linw (53)
876994 2010-04-16 02:31:00 In the end I got the job done by going back to Explorer. :groan:

And yes the problem's only happened since the last firefox update to ver 3.6.3.

All the Add-on's are the same as before and up to date.

The problem seems to only occur when I go from one site to another like buying something on E-Bay and going from the link on their site to PayPal.

Normal browsing it's fine.

I couldn't get firefox to fire using firefox -safe-mode but realised later there was a space between the x and -.

Never mind, I'll remember that for next time.

:thanks

I usually test my code before I post it (most do I suspect), so you should be good to just copy and paste what I post - saves problems for all!! :)
