792291 2009-07-16 21:26:00 In the latest National Bank advert, what is the main instrument playing throughout the ad? Is it a keyboard or synthesizer or something else?

Even Paul Henry commented this morning on "Breakfast" how nice the music is. Would love to get a copy of it somehow.

792292 2009-07-16 22:19:00 Could be a keyboard, piano. I think the music is variations of Vivaldis Four Seasons.
Also check this site out for TV commercials music. christchurchcitylibraries.com

The Music

Classical music is one of the most recognisable elements of National Bank advertisements. Parts of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons have been recorded in new and contemporary ways to match each advertisement.

This is the reply that I got from National Bank:

"The music that is used for all National Bank adverts is Vivaldi's Four Seasons . I believe that all our current adverts use the Summer concerto, though previous adverts have used the Spring concerto . "

A little Googling tells me that Vivaldi's Four Seasons comes in four flavours: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter . On U-Tube each appear to be around 6 minutes or longer . Are you very familiar with all of them?!

The version on TV didn't sound like string instruments which would confirm that it had "been recorded in new and contemporary ways" .

I haven't seen the advert again since this morning . Typical .

I do not watch adverts but your post moved me to insert my CD the essential Karajan conducting one of Vivaldi Spring Allegro bits,

Then I am now going on to listen to Ravels' Bolero.

Longest crescendo ever written as far as I am aware. And I can pick out each instrument as it comes in.
