The recovery CD was only to copy the file you wanted from a working PC - re read post 18. Saved having to remove the HDD and slave. |

I copied missing file onto harddrive and did a search to find it on there but when I put it back into Laptop and booted up, same problem. I have since discovered it to be a common problem with vista and have to but a disc to reload vista back on it. Have to organise with Fujitsu NZ on monday and should be all good. Thanks guys for all the suggestions. |

Might want to download seatools and scan the hard drive while you're there. Missing file issues can be a sign that the drive is on its way out. |
