877150 2010-04-17 01:50:00 It may support 2 or more screens. It doesnt mean the screens will be different. Unless you install the right drivers. And if the drivers (like the ATI ones), have the option. Actually, I may try that out now. Connect another monitor to this. See what options I can get. And see if I can get / use 2 different screen. 877151 2010-04-17 01:55:00 thanks heaps please do tell me if it works or not. chuanwai (12518)
877152 2010-04-17 02:05:00 Usually you can either stretch on to two or more monitors or show the same display on several.

You can run a game in a window and surf in another window on one monitor anyway but I fail to understand why you would want to.

877153 2010-04-17 02:15:00 Something for me to do when im dead got nothing to do so i productively surf for web to entertain myself for that minute. chuanwai (12518)
877154 2010-04-17 02:16:00 Well the ATI drivers let you duplicate (whats on the 1st monitor, to the 2nd).

Extend (so if you go to the side / edge of the 1st monitor), you'll go to the 2nd monitor (which is blank if you select extend).

I can run the tuner program on this, and drag it to the 2nd screen. And watch TV on the 2nd screen. But if I select full screen, it'll go back to the 1st screen.

Extend will probably extend a game onto the 2nd monitor as well. I cant test it tho, dont have games on this

877155 2010-04-17 02:25:00 i see, so it might be possible to watch tv and play games at the same time, enjoying the joys of life all at once. I wanna ask are your using a tv tuner card to watch tv? if so any brands or models i should consider? chuanwai (12518)
877156 2010-04-17 02:26:00 Solitaire is a game Speedy although when doing that you don't get dead. Sweep (90)

877158 2010-04-17 03:07:00 You could probably play games like solitaire on a 2nd monitor. Its when you maximise it / change it to full screen, it'll go back to the 1st monitor

I'm using an avermedia volar x tuner. Its fine and clear watching TV with it. But, I wouldnt use it in Windows 7. (Altho it works good in media center in Win7). If you want to record something. Some channels are out of sync. But, its fine in Vista.

Its up to you what kind of tuner you want. I'm using a USB one, it saves me opening the case, and it's probably cheaper than a PCI-E one
