When I go to Settings>Detect Webcam it suggests Ip camera but that doesn't lead anywhere. So I guess that means the camera is munted unless you've got any further suggestions. Thats exactly what I get when opening the software - thats because there is no Cam attached. The IP cam is for a network camera. you can also use the software as a security feature, and it will take pictures and send you emails if its activated (motion Detection) If you have access to one, load up another external Cam - they are cheap enough these days for a basic model. |

Then highlight something, go to action / scan for hardware changes, then see if it reappears. If that doesnt work, see if there's an option in the BIOS for the cam, to disable / enable it | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
| 877329 | 2010-04-17 22:20:00 | Hi Guys Scanned for hardware changes in device manager and it didn't turn anything up. Looked for some sort of reference to the cam in the bios and could find nothing. Have dug out an old USB Webcam and installed an updated driver and it seems to be working fine so I think we'll leave it at that. Thanks heaps for all your time and trouble!:thanks |
