| 878272 | 2010-04-20 02:17:00 | In the Add/Remove programs (appwiz.cpl) under 'Windows Features' look for IE8. Untick and it should remove it. |

| 878273 | 2010-04-20 02:20:00 | Go into the control panel, programs and features, on the left, turn windows features on or off, IE8 will be ticked. If you untick it, it will disable it, not to sure if it actually removes it though. WARNING: turning IE8 off, may cause all sorts of sh1t to happen as other apps may require it to work correctly. |

| 878275 | 2010-04-20 05:13:00 | Leave it there and just use another browser instead. Less hassle. This is what I did. Simply removing icons off of the desktop and changing the default browser. IE8, is a pretty good idea to have as a backup, just incase. Seeing how it uses the internet options for all it's settings, it's helpful for testing some things when your connection drops. Imagine your other browser suddenly crashing and no longer working? |

| 878277 | 2010-04-20 08:37:00 | curious mind would like to know why you want to remove it? Actualy I am not trying to get rid of it. I want to clear it out and then re-instal it. I have an unidentified problem that has been diagnosed as a fault in IE We have a zipped file sitting on a server. It has been downloaded 3967 times and nobody else has had a problem. But when I want it I click on a link labelled "download xxx.zip", I ger a file with a php suffix. Yet when I downloaded it with Firefox , no problems. |
