| 793814 | 2009-07-22 02:37:00 | Funny that CGA comes up again - I was speaking to a person this morning about them wanting to buy a new PC- they were looking at a Dell that "sounded A Great Deal" . When looking at the actual Spec's though, one thing came to mind . Part of the CGA they must also be fit for any purpose which the supplier has represented them as fit for and/or for which the consumer has stated the goods will be used . The PC was quoted over the phone (by Dell) as having Vista Home Premium - but looking at the spec's quoted ,the damn thing would be so slow, and under powered . Seen this before and Aero wouldn't run because the Spec's were to low . Yet it had an Aero Capable OS (Premium) installed . The point is -- While Vista will run, it would be a "dog", and some features may not work, or work poorly . Then throw in AV etc -------- As I pointed out - Dell have not written / Said anything that says the PC will perform to a certain level . I also said - just don't expect much faster than their current PC . Not MS's fault if Dell produce crap like that -- Wonder how Dell would wriggle around the CGA ? False advertising or stretching the truth ???? |
