793655 2009-07-21 05:23:00 A large contingent of Chinese rocket scientists visited NASA in Texas (the dynamite appropriations and fuel department) and were generally very courteous and listened intently to the answers of all their myriad questions.

The NASA engineers, smug with their past history, research goals met and the promise of new and better adventures for the US were falling all over themselves trying to out-smile the Sino-astronauts when they heard the Chinese ask: "How much fuel would we need to go to the sun?"

Speechless and trying to not look directly at the serious faces of the visiting scientists, the US group were all staring now at their feet when one of the US scientists asked: "Why do you want to go to the sun? Don't you know that the sun is extremely hot - a nuclear reaction like a breeder-reactor and that you would die and be immolated many tens of thousands of miles before you even got CLOSE to it!"

"Oh, you sirry Amelicans! We are going at night!"

The Australian moonprobe was called off. They ran out of scaffolding at two thousand and fifty seven feet
