If they were really innocent they would have gone back to Aussie to defend charges. People here pretty quick to blame police good thing these people now have a criminal charge and wont be able to ever leave NZ. Didn't you read the previous Herald story? They weren't told that the court appearance was on July 20th the day after they flew back to NZ, they'd been told by the police that it was on Aug 3rd. "Ms Shaw says she does not know where that investigation is going. She' has asked the police to check CCTV footage but says she has been told none exists. "I've been told they've been wiped. I reckon that's a lot of bullshit because they know they were in the wrong." Ms Shaw said Mr Blake had a message for the Whakatane couple. "Just thanks very much. It's really disgusting what's happened to them." Ms Shaw is the partner of the injured man. If there was CCVTV footage proving anything surely it would have been saved to CD or DVD as evidence. Just because the police say so doesn't mean it is correct. Did you check those two links I gave to show how corrupt the Queensland police are.
