877546 2010-04-20 22:15:00 Looks alright to me, but you can tick this, then tick fix checked. Or use ccleaner and delete it from startup

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SunJavaUpdateSched] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Java\Java Update\jusched.exe"

Go here (www.dougknox.com). Download the 9th file exe file association fix. Extract it, double click on it as it says. Then it should work

877547 2010-04-20 22:21:00 Thank you. Completed tasks. Question, I have as you already know micro essentials and full version malwarebytes. How much more can I protect my laptop? puffins808 (14043)
877548 2010-04-20 22:23:00 BTW, here are two micro essentials caught last night: Virus: Win32/Alureon.H and Trojan: Win32/Meredrop puffins808 (14043)
877549 2010-04-20 22:28:00 Thats enough. Too many and they'll fight with each other. You're lucky you can boot into windows. Alureon can infect atapi.sys. And you wont get into windows (it'll crash before then)

Did you do a full scan with MSSE, not a quick scan?
Speedy Gonzales (78)
877550 2010-04-20 22:32:00 Yes, I did full scan with both. Micro Essentials caught it last night while I was doing another full scan on malwarebytes.

Is there anything else I can do to protect my laptop? You have taught me allot and been very good about keeping things up to date and such.
puffins808 (14043)
877551 2010-04-20 22:38:00 You dont need any more AV programs. If youre on broadband / using a router, I wouldnt bother with a firewall. Just dont go to dodgy sites, or use P2P programs Speedy Gonzales (78)
877552 2010-04-20 22:42:00 I have install WOT with firefox and do not go to the orange or red sites. What is P2P programs? I do not let my husband use my laptop as much anymore. I let him use it and this happened. He said he was just looking in craigslist when malwarebytes went crazy. puffins808 (14043)
877553 2010-04-20 22:45:00 P2P programs - file sharing programs.. You use torrents. If malwarebytes is registered, and protection is enabled, it'll tell you its blocked a site's ip address. If its dodgy. If its doing this, then dont go there Speedy Gonzales (78)
877554 2010-04-20 22:47:00 BTW: What are those other stuff on the HJT report R1 and R0? I am trying to remove all stuff that is not needed. puffins808 (14043)
