| 877928 | 2010-04-19 01:35:00 | I am running XP and Windows 7 in a dual boot configuration, and have iTunes installed on XP. I would like to move iTunes to Windows 7 while keeping my library, but don't know the easiest way to do this. Do I have to back up the library to DVD (or external HDD) and restore it on the new iTunes install? Or can I somehow reverse-sync from my iPod? |

| 877929 | 2010-04-19 01:39:00 | Install itunes on 7 and point the iTunes Music folder location to the folder on the hard drive with XP on it that has your music and library file. Then just import the library file from xp into itunes on 7. | nedkelly (9059) | ||

Then just import the library file from xp into itunes on 7. XP and Windows 7 are on different partitions on the same hard drive. For whatever reason, I can access the Win 7 partition from XP, but not the XP partition from Win 7. Perhaps there's a way to change this??? |
