877874 2010-04-19 00:26:00 My N1 router has recently begun to spontaneously turn off. Anyone else had this problem? Is it overheating, got a bug, needs a firmware upgrade? Ted Gibbons (15732)
877875 2010-04-19 00:35:00 HI Ted
I bought one of these last Friday, and it's working perfectly. I was a bit apprehensive after reading some reviews saying it disconnects itself every two hours - but that just hasn't happened for me. I tried to do an automatic FW upgrade through the web interface, and it tells me there is no update, so all good there.
I did also read they get hot if in a confined space, but mine well ventilated.
Sorry - I guess this has been no help to you at all.

Your router isn't by any chance one of the ones mentioned here is it:

Yes, it is one of those, the N1. I googled it and found that is has a faulty chipset, which the Indian tech support guy admitted to as well. He pointed me at a firmware upgrade, which I'll try over the weekend.

877878 2010-04-23 04:43:00 Hi FAB,
From what I've read you're sweet with this year's model. It's the older ones that malfunction. Cheers.
