| 877487 | 2010-04-17 10:16:00 | I downloaded the Defraggler from Piriform after buying their CCleaner. Before the run, my C drive space was reading 202.9GB used and 95GB free. However, after an hour or so, the result stands at 208.2 & 89.9 respectively. I wonder why this software is killing the space instead of saving! | namboothiri (14469) | ||

| 877492 | 2010-04-18 03:54:00 | Defragmenting your drive won't save any drive space though Defragmenting just takes files which have been spread around the hard drive in pieces and puts them back together in one place - the idea being that you get more contiguous free space, and increases performance (hard drive heads don't have to move as much to read a complete file) If you want to clean up your hard drive, try CCleaner instead... |
