2010-04-17 04:49:00 | Well, you cant remove most of it, (thats why I didnt say it in your other post), since most of it, is for the laptop (for the gfx, cam). If you remove these entries it may not work. You could remove trendmicro, but you may as well uninstall it. Only way to remove them. Do a clean install, and dont use the restore partition / cd's / dvd.

2010-04-18 03:59:00 | The thing with Toshiba is that half those utilities will be completely pointless, and the other half will be critically needed if you want your hotkeys to function properly, for example switching between LCD and external monitor. The trick is to find out which ones are actually needed - quite hard if you just go by the program description which is often really ambiguous. I would terminate each one via task manager and see if anything stops working that you need to have working. Once you find the ones you can safely turn off without adverse affect, then disable them (don't uninstall!)

Disable the tcardmain.exe entry. This is for flashcards, or something. Smartfacewatcher has something to do with face recognition? Leave teco.exe there. |

2010-04-18 04:58:00 | You can remove all of it. But it depends what you want to have in startup. I have removed these tings before from startup and it did not cause anything to stop working. Remember there is a difference between removing something and taking something out of startup.

2010-04-18 05:04:00 | I need a certain program running on my Toshiba P35 if I want the media hotkeys to work (they are not standard keyboard media keys) A friend of mine also has a Toshiba Satellite of some kind, there was one utility that needed to be there or else the hotkey to switch screen outputs wouldn't work, and it needed some "Toshiba shared components" program to be active as well.
