879157 2010-04-23 00:33:00 At the moment I have a Sunbeamtech Rheobus Controller, it looks nice and and has plenty of grunt, but the LEDs are so frikin bright!

See specs here (www.sunbeamtech.com) and review here (www.dvhardware.net). I have the same controller but black.

What I'm after is a controller that will look nice in an Antec Twelve Hundred, have at least 4 channels with infinite adjustment, preferably be able to control cathodes too, and not have stupidly bright LEDs on the front.

At the moment, the Rheobus Extreme looks pretty good, although I'm not really sold on the quality, from what I've seen on reviews. Does anyone have one of these or can recommend a different one?

Cheers!

879159 2010-04-23 00:50:00 Heh, I'm picky. After a quick skim over, The only one in there that looks good to me, apart from the Rheobus Extreme is the Scythe Kaze Master. wratterus (105)
879160 2010-04-23 02:04:00 I am currently running the Rheobus extreme in the pc in my sig. It is working really well with my six fans, even though my fans use different connections, nedkelly (9059)
879161 2010-04-23 02:25:00 How bright would you say the lights are? Would it be annoying if you were watching a movie at night? My one seriously lights up the room lol. wratterus (105)

879163 2010-04-23 11:08:00 Hi Wratterus

If you or someone you know, is not afraid of a soldering iron then you don't need any of this junk. Why people go back to knobs and boxes is beyond me. Get with it and let the electronics vary fan speed according to the load, (heat).

The following projects are easy to make and cheap as chips to build. Best bit, whole thing fits inside your computer case, no ugly knobs and boxes in sight

First go make yourself a FAN CONTROLLER (www.webx.dk). Now go put some NICE LEDS (www.madshrimps.be)into your fans. Recommend you power LED's from the main feed of your fan controller. Done this way LED brightness will stay the same regardless of fan speed.

Take your time and end up with a Fan Controller you can be proud of.

879164 2010-04-23 11:26:00 well all my fans have leds in them, but when running movies I can not actually see my pc, its under my desk to my right. I will take some pics of it going if you want. nedkelly (9059)
879165 2010-04-23 11:40:00 Hi Nedkelly

If your fans already have Leds in them not a problem. The Antec Twelve Hundred looks pretty bloody cool too with it's existing leds. Just gave the option to someone who would like to fit their own.

Why anyone would want to put old crappy knobs and switches anywhere near the Antec Twelve Hundred defies belief!! :groan: :horrified
