Just trying to find the latest Dell Optiplex 745 Resource Cd.

Having a tiny problem with pc freezing on startup and sumtimes when running internet explorer.

878724 2010-04-21 10:20:00 Have done Virus scan and got nothing. also done a restart and at the Dell logo screen, press <F12> and did hdd Diagnostic and it passed. Also have opened RUN and typed in
sfc /scannow and copy other the stock windows files. Also windows updates is upto date.

Intel DualCore 820, 2.8Ghz ( Pentium D) Socket: LGA775
4GB, 2x2gb, 800mhz, DDR2 Memory
PALIT 9800GT PCIE, 1GB, DDR3, 256bit Graphics card
1tb, 2x 500GB WD black, Sata Harddrive

D-LINK DWA-556 Xtreme N
Windows XP Pro 32 bit

Just about to run spybot. I need to get the Resource Cd as its got the dell Diagnostic tool on it.

Also how do you do a HJT?

878727 2010-04-21 21:04:00 Did you remove them in spybot? Theyre not errors, theyre spyware / malware. I would use malwarebytes. You can tick these then tick fix checked. Close browser/s. Or delete them in ccleaner under startup

Uninstall all versions of java, its out of date. Then update it

Yeh looked on the downloads page but cant find the resource cd. I have had 1 for a GX520 off there site before but cant find a 745.

878731 2010-04-22 10:51:00 Yeh I also removed a couple of the startup programs and it is going ok at moment hasnt frooze yet and restarted it 3 times.

Dell Resource CD is a Drivers and Utilities disc included with all Dell Desktops and Portable computers, its main purpose is to provide drivers, however it includes a set of tools that could help you troubleshooting and restore your system.
