795969 2009-07-28 11:04:00 Hi Guys

I have a friend and business partner.

He does not like it if I ever criticize him even when it is polite and constructive. He says that he never criticizes me, so why do I crititze him ?

Is this attitude common or normal ?

795972 2009-07-28 11:15:00 I work with a guy like this. Thinks his way is right, won't listen to ideas/suggestions
I am able to ignore him for the most part, but with you having the guy as a business partner, it will not be that easy. Try to find a happy medium.

795973 2009-07-28 11:16:00 Some people are just more cut out to be in leadership or positions of power / authority than others are. What will truly define you as a great leader and business owner is not how personally you take what he is saying, but how you either find a new approach to the situation at hand, or how you sensitively discuss with him that its OK to have flaws and to communicate with respect for one another each others shortcomings in order to build each other up, not to pull each other down. I'm not sure how looking for a jolly soothsayer will help??

795976 2009-07-28 11:56:00 You have to explain to him that its not criticism but constructive feedback- some Management/leadership BS like that will do the trick. beeswax34 (63)
