| 795213 | 2009-07-26 00:31:00 | Hi Guys I am in my late 50's and have to move house soon (downsize). I have been a hoarder and have boxes and shelves of stuff from way back. I need to bring my self to get rid of it. Eg old power bills, bank statements, invoices, manual, newspaper cuttings etc etc. Also lots of books and magazines. If I did get rid of some of the stuff I would like to be able to either sell some of the books or magazines, or at least give them to some one who woudl like them, but I get the feeling that nothing is selling these days eg on TradeMe. Eg I have lots of part work magazines and men's magazines. Any suggestions ? or are you the same as me ? |

| 795214 | 2009-07-26 00:49:00 | Was, but I got a shredder and shredded all the bills / statements (for the 2 of us), and chucked the rest in the big rubbish bin for collection. Used to have over 100 netguide mags (since it came out). Didnt have any space for anymore, so chucked all of them out too All I've got now, is a 29' sitting in the bedroom, doing nothing. That maybe the next thing to give away or chuck out |

| 795215 | 2009-07-26 00:55:00 | Pity you don't live in Nelson as there is a thing called the Founders bookfair, they collect unwanted books and magazines all year then sell them in June each year to raise funds for Founders heritage park a sort of walking in museum of old buildings and such, it's very successful and raises about $100000 each year. I ordered one of those rubbish skips and told him whatever he could clearly identify he could keep. We filled the skip. Life here is clean, tidy and mostly uncluttered. Husband can't believe how many guys have so much crap in their places here. |
