878342 2010-04-20 09:34:00 The onboard LAN ROM is different. Its disabled by default. The LAN maybe called Onboard PCI-E Gbe LAN or something. Which maybe under Onboard devices config Speedy Gonzales (78)
878343 2010-04-20 10:40:00 Here's the menu;

Standard CMOS Features
Advanced BIOS features
Integrated Peripherals (The one I had clicked before)
PnP/PCI Configurations
PC Health Status
Load Fail Safe Defaults
Load optimized defaults

I clicked PnP/PCI config which has PCI 1 & 2 IRQ assignment both set to auto.

In the Integrated Peripherals the only thing that is Disabled is Onboard LAN Boot ROM.

878344 2010-04-20 11:06:00 Should be under integrated peripherals. Altho it sounds like its enabled if the entry is in device manager Speedy Gonzales (78)

878348 2010-04-20 12:48:00 Have you got a spare NIC (like a PCI one)?? If you have, install it, and the drivers. Then if you want, (if its going to be on the net), I could check it out and see why the onboard NIC doesnt work, with teamviewer. Speedy Gonzales (78)
878349 2010-04-20 13:23:00 I'm sure it will work with dial up.. I can hook up to KOL since there's no contract. It will be slower but better than nothing.
It would be on by thursday if I sign up tomorrow.. Thanks for your offer in doing that

878350 2010-04-20 21:54:00 Umm it should work with dialup, BUT it maybe slow as with teamviewer. It'll probably be cheaper getting a spare NIC lol Speedy Gonzales (78)
878351 2010-04-21 04:50:00 I can borrow someones NIC adapter from their desktop computer.

Would I have to install teamviewer?
