| 880068 | 2010-04-26 07:44:00 | I want to be able to use the Insert key just like the good old days to overwrite text, it works in Open Office but not in Notepad, does anyone know if there's a way to make it work? | kettles (14332) | ||
| 880069 | 2010-04-26 07:50:00 | I don't think it's possible, I don't think Notepad supports overwrite function... | Agent_24 (57) | ||

| 880073 | 2010-04-26 10:18:00 | Info here (forums.techguy.org) It is not that they do not support the INSERT key, it is that they do not support the OVERTYPE mode, which is a feature of upper level editors; not simple editors like Notepad. |

| 880075 | 2010-04-26 11:42:00 | I like Notepad++ When I use MS Windows I replace Notepad with Notepad++ - never been concerned with typeover but according to this (notepad-plus.sourceforge.net) it is supported. Notepad++ is what MS should have done to Notepad! |
