796882 2009-07-31 09:32:00 HEY it is ball licker here :banana

I want to gain my ncea level 3 credits so I can enter university to do a btech information technology degree.

I want to attend university of auckland and they require a rank score of 150.
Now I want a short cut that will get me the credits quick and without much work :clap

I am thinking of attending some quick unit standard classes and gaining the credits. My question is this I know want I want it is 150 points which is like 75 ncea level 3 credits which u receive a achievement mark. So there is nothing wrong with doing unit standards and only putting in taking simple easy classess right ? as long as i get the needed credits because the needed ncea credits means i can enter the degree and do well :clap

796883 2009-07-31 09:32:00 also nothing wrong with doing unit standards right i mean it is credits which can be used and it does not limit your future right ballicker (15130)
796884 2009-07-31 10:25:00 I don't know how it works properly but they might have some rules as to what NCEA's you have to have, without asking them in person you won't know gary67 (56)
796885 2009-07-31 10:42:00 This should be in the "Chat" forum.

In any case, some universities offer a 6-12 month "preparation" course, which if you pass, you are exempted from the NCEA requirements. You should check to see if this course exists where you are going, and if so, what it involves.

BE HONEST PPL if a individual earns the university entrance requirements in ncea does that mean they are ready for university. Or not cause i got the passion for the topic

This is what I was talking about: www.auckland.ac.nz

Current UE requirements are an absolute joke - university is much harder, and requires more effort than the current standards suggest. Passion is certainly one prerequisite which you need.

796888 2009-07-31 13:10:00 You need 14 credits in in L3 Science, 14 in L3 Calc and 14 from two other 'recognised domains'. Unless you are over 21 I think. sammo450 (13626)
796889 2009-07-31 13:30:00 Sammoa who said you need

"14 credits in in L3 Science, 14 in L3 Calc and 14 from two other 'recognised domains'. Unless you are over 21 I think.

to get into btech information technology

Correct me if i am wrong but it doesnt list on the university entry requirement page

www.auckland.ac.nz

It says 150 rank score and next to it NIL

so i guess 150 rank score no need to do subjects like that

Different degrees have specific requirements . The page you linked to is just lists "general" requirements .
