| 796565 | 2009-08-05 13:01:00 | My experiences with Varta ended when I investigated the light weight of a Varta cell and found a very small cell in a larger case. Never trusted the sods again. If I might be so bold, the worst thing if you order a Varta is that you may get a genuine one. For Nicad or Ni-Mh, Sanyo. For Alkaline, Panasonic; for Lithium Polymer, Hyperium. For throwing at the neighbour's cat, Eveready. For a waste of space, Lucas. But for no use ever, Varta. |

And his prices are good. The rechargable batteries I first bought a couple of years ago are still doing great. |

For a waste of space, Lucas. If it was a rechargeable C or D cell depending on how long ago it was it was common for the case to just be a spacer for an AA. The rated capacity would have made that obvious even if the weight didn't. Varta wouldn't have been the only brand like that. In case you haven't caught on, Sanyo or TESA seem to have lost interest in marketing Eneloops here. There isn't any stock. Terry doesn't seem to be biting :D |
