796800 2009-08-02 02:42:00 First kit set garage I had built, had windows along both sides of it. Did away with them on the second garage, when we moved. Gives you a lot more shelf/cupboard space. :2cents: BobM (1138)
796801 2009-08-02 09:27:00 family member got a (big) shed put up. the company's do garages as well.
concrete slap, local guy did it for half the price they where going to.
the guys that put it up......i wouldn't have them again. the wall has a great big curve in it, flashings etc where not put up very well. also they did take a long time as i suspect they where alternating between jobs. a week build became months.

council side of it, check if what permits you need etc. the company handled most of that which was good. on a big garage one trick you can do is to put structural footings in for the main supports. council inspects and signs it off which then leave you to do the floor any way you like as its not structural. that can make things a lot easier.

796802 2009-08-02 11:34:00 Hi Guys. Forgot to say - when I had Skyline do my garage/workshop I had them raise the stud heights. You may find that the standard kitset garage is too low for use as a workshop. Scouse (83)
